Public Transport
The nearest train stations are Lichfield City and Lichfield Trent Valley. Please check with the leader which station is most convenient for you to be picked up from. The nearest coach station is Lichfield City (at the train station). Please phone the leaders well in advance for collection.
By Road
From the South-East:
From M6 Junction 4 take A446 via Coleshill, then A38 to Lichfield (shortest
route);
or From M6 Junction 5 take A38 to Lichfield (longer but all dual carriageway).
Then follow directions below.
From the South-West:
From M42 Junction 9 take A446 then A38 to Lichfield. Then follow directions
below.
From the North-West:
From M6 Junction 12 take A5 through Cannock and Brownhills. At Muckley Corner
take A461 to Lichfield. Continue straight in along Walsall Road to the Bowling
Green island (see below).
From the North-East:
From A38 take slip road to enter Lichfield along A5127 past Trent Valley
Station. Turn right at roundabout onto Eastern Avenue (A5192) and follow this
round for about 2 miles. Turn left onto Grange Lane (then see below).
Directions to St Chads 8th Scout Group Hall
Entering Lichfield from the south off A38 onto London Road, continue into Upper
St John St. (A51).
Go under railway bridge by Lichfield City Station, turn left at lights, then
right at next roundabout, to a large traffic island with the Bowling Green pub
in the middle.
At the Bowling Green island take A51 north, signposted Rugeley, to traffic
lights and turn right onto Eastern Avenue (A5192). Turn second right onto Grange
Lane.
From Grange Lane turn left onto Weston Road, then right onto The Leasowe. The
8th Scout Group Hall is on the right marked (3) map above.
