London WRG

We hold weekend workparties at 3-4 week intervals, mainly on canals in the south of England or Midlands.  We usually provide minibus transport from London, leaving on a Friday evening. Although a mainly London-based group, many of our volunteers come from outside the London area too. We stay in a village hall or scout hut near the worksite. Transport, fuel and food expenses are shared at cost.

Special skills, although welcome, are not required; however we insist that you bring along a sense of humour and a willingness to muck in. Our members can be found at most major WRG and canal events. We often work with other WRG groups as well. We also help with the work of the Dig Deep Initiative.

We hold social evenings are in a central London pub ten days prior to each 'dig'. New volunteers are always welcome - contact us or see our website for details.
